Just toured Majorca using TT Go 910 with latest road map supplied. We reckon it's just about 75% accurate. Main routes seen OK, although several junctions are now roundabouts and there are tunnels too, but most seriously wrong are the new resorts. We experienced a lot of fun being directed down wrong way streets, across apparent sand dunes and it was obvious that the developers were building too fast for TT to upgrade their maps.
So, be advised, treat the map with a bit of caution, it can put you into the wrong lane and a dodgy driving situation

Must be different to the Canary Islands then. Went to Fuerteventura back in the mid 90's and found loads of local roads in place awaiting new development. Went back last year - same roads still there - some of the developments had been started but a good 60%+ still empty. Only had my TTN5 MOWE then - but didn't have maps for that island - found out you had to purchase them after I got back _________________ Phil |

Once TomTom customer support got involved and saw copy of my purchase invoice and ascertained which version of the WE map I had, they immediately supplied me with an updated map for download at my my convenience. It's a big download, but cannot fault their reaction.

Had similar problem with Ibiza last week. Knew we would be hiring a car, as I'm the only non-drinker, I knew I'd be driving and it'd be a waste of time trying to get "them" to read a map a 4 in the morning.
Spoke to TT who gladly allowed me to download the Spain/Portugal detail maps that includes the Bally Islands (in exchange for several Euros) only to find out that only the major roads were listed. Even "B" roads that have been there for ever were not listed.
Mind you it did make an interesting drive home when someone was desperate for the toilet and we went down the wrong road |
