Another 510 Ipod & spoken directions through stereo prob

Hi

Thanks to your help I got the ipod & the tomtom to talk to one another and go through the stereo.

However there is an awful lot of background noise - you even seem to hear the accelerator of the car (think Milk float)

I've played the tomtom by itself through the stereo - no noise with spoken words through stereo.

Played the ipod on it's own for ages with my own Lead - no problems

But put 'em together and it's not what I'd be expecting

Any Ideas please

This sounds like (pls excuse the pun) a Ground Loop problem between the devices, you can fit an isolator in between the TomTom and car stereo to reduce/ eliminate the interference, the one I often recommend for this can be found Here - Mike
