Hello to you all

I am considering the purchase of the TomTom GO 710 Mounting kit for my Seat Altea car.

Unfortunately because this is a dealer fitted kit there are no details provided for self installation.

Does anyone know the pinouts on the input to the Vehicle Interface Box (VIB)

I know that there is a 12volt and an Earth feed and many others but I do not know which pins they should connect to.

Any help will be geatly appreciated.

Many thanks

John

The 710 is supplied with a voltage regulator to step down the cars voltage to 5 volts, do not bypass this or you might fry the 710, consider fitting a ciggy socket behind the dash and connect the TomTom supply lead to that - Mike

Hi Mikealder

Thanks for the reply

As far as I know there is a voltage regulator built in to the VIB - hence my request for the pinouts

I have now got the Seat Pod working ok.

The 12 volt feed goes to the Red and Purple wires and the earth goes to the Slate wire on the input to the VIB.
