Has anyone else had the problem of the NUVI 660 coming off the mount when hitting a bump in the road? Fortunately mine ended up in the door pocket so it appears not to be damaged. On inspection I notice that it does not latch in very tightly. Anyone have any ideas how to overcome this problem?

When fitting the Nuvi to the mount, there should be a distinct click where it locks in with the spring catch, is this happening with your mount?
Maybe the mount is faulty.

I have had a lot of trouble with the mount falling off the glass and have since changed to a Brodit mount, but not the Nuvi coming unattached from the mount.

Same as GJF. Should be a very positive lock on the mount. Had the windscreen mount fall off a couple of times - with 660 in it. Both times no damage to unit - and it didn't leave the mount. Since got a Brodit mount for the center console - much nicer mount - blends in with car so no need to remove mount when leaving vehicle. Check how you are placing the unit in the holder. I find locating the lower bit first then 'pivot' it up to complete the mount - it gives a very satisfying click. If you aren't getting this - then back to the retailer for a replacement mount.
