I'm really new to this and i'm not sure what to get. Here's my situation:

1) I live in Boston Massachusetts. I do about 50/50 city driving and suburban driving.

2) I plan on getting an HP IPAQ 1945 w/ bluetooth

3) I am very concerned about getting the best possible accuracy

4) I'd like software that isn't annoying to use, especially since i'm prone to taking wrong turns; i'd like something that i can easily get back on track, or choose another destination.

5) since i drive from the suburbs to the city to work every morning, i'd like something that i can easily re-route if there's a major traffic jam.

Suggestions would be really appreciated, thanks!

1) nice area. Be aware that none of the programs will have the Big Dig data

2) good

3) that's pretty much the same for all GPS receivers. If you mean map accuracy down to house numbers then I think NavTech map data tends to have better accuracy. This doesn't have anything to do with actuality though

4) for an european user TomTom is the perfect tool for what you describe. But I had to learn that Americans think different when it comes to ergonomy and usability. You'll have to read the reviews on this site to make up your mind. They can all get you back on track, but require different levels of interaction for that. Deluo Routis may fit best.

5) TomTom has the easiest way of doing this (in my opinion)
