|
|
The screenmount supplied with the unit has two short a neck, i.e. with the kind of steeply raked windscreen my car has, and with the mount as low as is safe so as not to obscure my vision, the G520 is too far away, not within easy reach. Ideally I need a mount with a longer gooseneck type neck.
My PDA (which I used to use for TT NAV) sat in a Gooseneck mount that I stuck to the small window on the right of the dashboard in front of the door, many MPVs including my Mitsubishi have such a small window. A gooseneck mount there can bend round and bring the G520 very close without obscuring vision at all.
I contact PDA mods, but they say they do not currently have anything.
Any recommendations please?

Take a look at Brodit's mounts, they have a 520/720 mount, see Item No. 215267 (Mount with tilt swivel) over at www.brodit.com .
Then couple that with a Brodit ProClip to suit you car.

Thanks, but I don't think that is what I am after, I reall do need a suction mount and gooseneck, and can't see that Brodit offer that.

Indeed they do although I couldn't find it on their website! You need one of these coupled with Brodit adapter Part No. 202001 to couple the above 520/720 cradle to the gooseneck. _________________ Darren Griffin |

One further bit of info, in the UK the best stockist is DSLDevelopments, you can order on-line but if you can't find the part you need just give them a call. _________________ Darren Griffin

Sorry guys, wine and keyboards do not make a great combination. Original link now corrected and thanks to BG for posting the correct URL! _________________ Darren Griffin |
