Hi,

I have TT Go 300 running latest software.

This is the mnu file entry:

MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PHONE|

I noticed this has happened only since I installed POI capture.

Can any one help me restore the icon?

Thanks

I had a similar problem when I installed POI Capture on my old TT One. The menu file provided with the capture program seems to suit some devices and not others. I decided to use my old menu file and keep POI Capture on page four of the menu. Not ideal, but it's only a couple of touches away.

The MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PHONE| command appears only to work with devices that support handsfee calling. I have tried various commands but cannot seem to find the right command to make the phone feature of the One to work, as it can only be used for Traffic updates. There is therefore not a recognised phone menu.

This command does work with my 710, as it supports hands free calling.

Nice one Tommo your post gave me a clue as to what is wrong, try changing the menu line associated with the phone from:

MENUITEM|TASK_MENU_PHONE|

To

MENUITEM|TASK_PAIR_WITH_PHONE|

And see if this cures the problem - you will need Bluetooth switched on (Enabled) though on the TomTom for it to work - Mike

I don't think that one works either Mike, if my memory serves me correctly... I'm sure I tried that as well...

Don't know what the answer is...

I don't have a 300 to try it on but I did try the syntax on the One XL and it did work, the device goes straight for pairing the phone whereas the other line is greyed out - its certainly worth a try - Mike
