I keep getting "One moment please..." when I either try to navigate to and address and house number and also a POI. The message comes up and it just sits there, I have tried leaving it for a few minutes to see if it eventually shows the house numbers or POI's but it doesn't, I can then click cancel.

The postcode search still worked ok.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Yes, it's been reported in several threads including this one, and is a fault in firmware versions 7.480 and 7.481.

A reset followed by "Restore To Factory Defaults" has cured it for some, others have had to re-install firmware version 7.221.

Thanks for that, I did search first (honestly) but after pages of threads that were unrelated I gave up.

Any issues with downgrading firmware, will I lose any functionality?

I did phone Tomtom tech support but they are closed due to the bank holiday, it's funny but I thought that was on Monday?

I know that feeling! It's also sometimes difficult to hit on the right terms to search on.

I did it from a Windows back up, and had no problems at all. As long as you follow the instructions in the linked thread, especially concerning doing a Windows back up first, you should be OK. I haven't seen anyone report any issues after downgrading, and you can always re-install your back up.

As the Great Champion for 7.221, let me be fair however, and say that for me, even with the solid, reliable, 7.221 that I swear by, if I enter many addresses in Switzerland (and this is just an example, other places might have the same problem), I still get the "One moment please..." bug with it, and can proceed no further.

Clear Flash etc has not fixed this.

But it's still a much less common occurrence for UK addresses than 7.480 or .481 throw up, so I'm still sticking with 7.221

Just thought it worth mentioning that there is still a wider bug that for some locations, affects ALL versions.

Since downgrading to 7.221 when I now attach the G0 720 to the PC using the USB docking station a message pops up saying hardware not recognised and the Go doesn't ask me if I want to connect to the computer.

Have you tried a reset?

Apart from that I'm afraid I have no suggestions. I'm sure one of the real TomTom experts will be along though!

I did a reset and although the message came up briefly it did then allow it to connect.

The message always come up now, will have a look at the link you supplied but showing this at the moment:
"Unfortunately due to a problem, we cannot serve you the information you requested. Please try again in a few moments."

Found the same link going throught the Tomtom support page and one o the suggestions was to not use a USB port at the front of the PC, plugged into the back and didn't get the error.

Thanks for your help.

Can't be sure but mine started doing this a few days ago. coincidentally it was around that time that I got an onscreen message which I clicked yes to allow tomtom to collect journey stats. I disabled the collection of stats on tomtom home last night and so far I have not seen the "one moment please" message.
Possibly coincidence but worth a try.
