|

i have an i3 which has worked fine for the last year but now it keeps on locking up most times when I turn it on. I can get to the choices page "where to go", "something else" and settings. I can then scroll down to one of the 3 chices, but after I have clicked on the choice and it bleeps, nothing else happens & the wheel or buttons have no effect apart from the bleeps when I press any button or the wheel.
I am using rechargables & have tried a couple of fairly new 2700ma/h fully charged sets. It did work once when I put a new set of ordinary alkaline batteries or sometimes with the car lead. Does anyone have any ides what could be the problem.
I am using the origional 2.7 firmware which has not been changed.

After trying all sorts of things, including hard resets & seeing what the price for an out of warrenty repair would be from garmin (£72) I decided as a last resort to reinstall the firmware (2.7) The i3 is now back to normal and works fine on rechargables or alkaline batteries an excellent result. Must have been corrupted firmware. |

Thankyou for that but it is not working for me.
Does it matter which order I press them in, or if it is on battery or mains power?
Thanks
