Has anyone used a P990i with TomTom 720 I managed to connect to the 720 and send and receive calls but the person I was calling cannot hear me for the buzzing sound on their phone everything was OK at my end.
This is my second 720 both had the buzzing noise
I contacted TomTom and they said the P990 was not supported, if that was the case nothing would work i.e. phone would not connect
My thoughts on the problem are that it is the microphone which has feedback or unshielded components around that circuit.
Any feedback would be appreciated as I am getting no where with TomTom. |

Forget TomTom support!
Just return the 720 to where you bought it, as the handsfree microphone buzzing is a known fault.
My 2nd 720 is fine and does not have the buzzing. |

Tnks for the reply Technik,
I have already returned it but having received two faulty units from PC World I will have to wait for new stocks to arrive to make sure the next one is not from the same batch |

My replacement had a lower serial number than my 1st 720 from the same batch starting M63257Axxxxx.
The only difference was my first was from a mail order company, and the 2nd which works fine so far, was from a local Argos shop.
A few people on here are on their 3rd 720, so it's not unusual to have two faulty units. |

Hi,
If it helps my 990 will connect to all TomTom bluetooth and Garmin products. Try switching your 990 off and then on again then it should connect, it worked for me anyway. Good Luck. |
