Hi everyone, Iv'e just joined I got this link from UKCampsites, excellent site for all you campers. My problem is that I attempted to down load the V3 from the Mio site, my device has stuck with a white screen, tried hard switch off, inserting card and switching off for 10 mins(advice from Mio) still the same, do i have to send it off to Mio to have it fixed or do any of you boffins have the solution? take it easy with the tech stuff as I'm pretty basic on computers, thanks for your help.

First off all what Mio do you have.
secondly if it is the Rom image that you have downloaded did you put your serial number down first and get the correct Rom.
thirdly did you follow the instructions to the letter.
and last of all do you have the V3 maps for you device.

Hi,etters, (1) I have the mio 269+
(2) My grandson did it for me and unfortunatly he's away in
Spain until the 28th.
(3) I presume he did, he's very 'switched' on and the V3 down-
load was from the Mio site.

we had been trying to download the camperstop euromaps from the 'facile media' site but every time we tried the screen told us to connect the mains feed, which was connected, but it wouldn't let us go any further. Thanks for your interest.

ok thats settled then, but just one thing I hope that you know that the V3 will only run from the SD card not the hard drive, and of course it has to be the V3 maps. hope youve got them on the card. as far as the other problem I'm afraid I cannot help.
