Hello all,
I am going on holiday to France/Belgium in mid August and am looking for a suitable system, ideally with bluetooth. I have looked at the Garmin Nuvi 310d but have two main questions.

1) Is the TomTom 720 liable to be a better buy?
2) Is the TomTom 720 release going to make it worth hanging on a few weeks to see if the Garmin price comes down?

Any advice would be gratefully received as I am a total newbie to this.
Thanks.

Welcome Thumbs Up

The only advice I can give you is to go and look at the systems you are considering in order to get a feel of how they work and how you get on with the two different approaches to menus.

GARMIN prices on the 310s have been coming down over recent weeks in any event.

Mid-August isn't far away and I don't recall seeing any firm dates for the x20 series of units. You will need to have the unit a couple of weeks before you go - just to get used to using it. So your question may be academic Wink

Despite all the rumoured dates the x20's may not be available before you go but unless you have to have one now there is no harm in holding off on your purchase a while.
