Speedcams in Switzerland

Hi there !

I wanted to know what were the latest news about using speedcams in Switzerland.
I'm going to Italy on vacation, passing through witzerland.

Can I legally use my TOMTOM, including speedcams from Belgium, France, Luxembourg and Italy ?
In fact all except the ones from Switzerland ?
Or even that is not allowed ?

Concensis is that any speed camera database installed on your device in switzerland may result in it being confiscated. I has been suggested that should you even have certain GPS devices they could be confiscated even if they don't have any database installed.

All of my enquires have fallen on deaf ears so I believe that when in switzerland, the use of a GPS device, loaded or not, is dependant on what you think you can get away with!

P.s. Consider renaming the poi's to somthing more innocent. Or not having any at all and driving to the speed limit. :D

That's correct, if you have a camera database installed then you risk having the device seized if caught in Switzerland.
