Hi all, new member here.

I'm awaiting delivery of my CoPilot so just preparing by downloading everything I need etc etc.

I've tried downloading the Other-CSV Camera DB, when it asks which file I'd like, I've tried all the options but I only get a blank page. Is this the right file for Co-Pilot Live?

I've paid my subscription, any ideas, or am I trying to download the wrong files?

Sorry I should have read the FAQ's first, i was using FireFox, now using IE it works ok.

My only other question would be, which file works best with the XDA Orbit; Consolidated by type, Single File or Speed Zoned?

Any help much appreciated.

Regards.

Hi and welcome Thumbs Up

It's not a case of what will work with the device in your case, it's more to do with the software thats running.

You can use any of the aforementioned databases on Co-Pilot. They are not as customisable as in Tom Tom though.

I'm no expert on CoPilot, but I'm sure if you post your specific questions on here there will be some kind soul who will help you out.

Good Luck

Mike

Thanks for the welcome & info.

Would you recommend any of the files for use on the orbit?

As the descriptions say:

AFIK

Single File - Just warns of camera, no specific type or speed
By Type - Warns of type of camera, not speed
Speed Zoned - Warns of type of camera and speed

I normally use the speed zoned on my setups.

Basically there are more files as you go down the list, but that won't be a problem with your setup unless you add loads of POI's. I can't remember the maximum off hand.

Thanks for the swift response.

I've just downloaded the speed zoned file.

Now I've to attempt to put it onto the Orbit when it arrives, hope it's easy enough to do Rolling Eyes

I finally received everything and installed the db as per the link provided by Mike using the speed zoned file.

However, I traveled from England to Scotland yesterday and was only notified about 1 camera (which no longer exists).

I've checked my settings and under POI, Custom it just lists "Safety Cameras", is this correct?

Thanks in advance.

Did you do the last step, i.e. rename the files safetycamera.... etc, or have you left them as per the original database?

If you left them without renaming them the categories have to be selected in Custom, i.e. all the pocketgpsworld ones.

Thanks for the quick response.

It looks like the problem is related to my storage card. I bought a new 2gb card to replace the 256mb one and copied the contents of the 256mb card to the 2gb one. For some reason it looks like the camera files haven't gone across.

I've recopied the files over, I'll test it tonight on my way home.

Thanks again.

As I understand it, the files get copied across in the format you see in the zip file.
Those files are 'absorbed' for want of a better word into the POI database of CoPilot, therefore you don't see those files again.
This happens when you restart the software after copying the files across.

So the fact you cannot see the files now is misleading. If you've copied them to the card again, they will just be integrated into the POI database again once you restart CoPilot.

I hope that makes sense!

Tested last night on my way home and it picked up two cameras.

I haven't renamed the files at all. When I first copied over the files again yesterday each file could been seen by speed as per the files I had copied there. However I noticed this morning that in the Co-Pilot software the custom POI is now called SafetyCameras and there isn't any sub categories ie. split by speed etc.

Is this correct?

Thanks in advance.

No you should have all the speeds and types listed under custom.

Are you saving the files to Storage card / CoPilot / Save folder?
