New to this forum - thanks in advance!Smile

I recently purchased a Mio H610. The unit works great with one exception - I am not able to connect to my machine via USB. I have installed the Mio Transfer program and when connecting the device, I received the standard - USB device not recognized error ... I've uninstalled the driver and reconnected with the same results.

I tried to connect on multiple machines - 2 with Win XP Pro and 1 with Win 2k3 server ... same results on all. In addition, I opened a service ticket with Mio. Any thoughts?

Thanks again!

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I installed MS ActiveSync prior to posting ... it does not detect any devices. In addition, I connected the device to the ports on the motherboard and still no luck. I also copied the driver files directly to the win/system/drivers directory in case they didn't take, etc. - still no luck ... I continue to get the same message - USB Device Not Recognized.

I am starting to wonder if my device is defective ... I have spent more time than I care to admit attempting to resolve the issue. Regardless of everything I have tried, I continue to see the same results - in the Universal Serial Bus controller group I see Unknown Device. I have fault through many technical issues over the years, but this one seems to evade me.

Quick update ... I called Mio support this morning - they were great! Quick and professional! In short, they believe I have a defective device and offered to repair or replace.
