Just updated my TT 910 with the latest database files. All of the data is there, but the redlight cams do not appear in the poi list, so cannot be slected to warn when near. Can't figure this one out, as the ov2 and bmp files are deffo there, just don't appear on the menu.

Any clues anyone?

I dont think this is the same problem. I have the correct 2 files for each poi category - a .ov2 and .bmp all the files are there, in the same format and it is only the redlight poi that is missing. I've tried copying the fiels again to make sure that they are not corrupted, but still can't select them from a list of poi's.

Rapidly losing what little remains of my hair!

Is it possible you have exceeded the maximum number of POI's?

to clarify the user name - this came from a time when I needed a hotmail account (long story) and every single bloody name I could think of had been taken. In desparation I just typed in the first two words that came into my head.

Probably says a lot about me.....

:D :D :D

Which version of software have you got on the 910 to find out tap the sat strength meter at the bottom right of the screen, there will be a box that says version, the reason I ask is with the later versions installed the TomTom Speed CAmeras do not count to the total custom POI's installed - Mike

v 6.522

Device has been regularly updated using tomtom home.

I have noticed one other odd thing. I normally activate extended menus as standard, but when I temporarily disabled them, the "clear route" option also dissapeared. I am fairly sure this should be there, as wihtout it there is no way of removing a programmed route without programming another. If "show fewer menu items" is selected, I only have two screens of icons, and I am convinced there should be three.

Might have a corrupt system file - what do you think?

V6.525 is the latest version for a 910.

Clear Route does disappear if you use Show Fewer Menu Items.

If you are using a tomtom.mnu File for the different pages then the Menu Items are retained.

IIRC when Fewer Items is selected you normally get 2 Pages of Main Menu and 3 Pages of Change Preferences.

Thats interesting and reassuring. However, I cannot for the life of me understand the logic in removing the "clear route" icon. Surely this is something one is always going to want ready access to?

Must be the same logic that designed the back-up software in tomtom home. How the bloody hell are you supposed to take multiple back-ups of a device that can hold up to 20gb. How big a hard drive do they think I have on my pc??

That really is the biggest gripe I have about an otherwise very good unit. If TT had supplied a DVD with the maps and OS on, with an incremental backup option to hard drive, all would be rock and roll... Me Me Me

Sorry, I've strayed from the original post somewhat. Off Topic

The only thing that you would really need to Backup is the Maps and the TTS, (don't use HOME).

A Backup, straight out of the box, amounts to 7.1GB. ;)
