Can someone please point me in the right direction. I have recently purchased an HP iPAQ hw6915. I got a free download of a town of my choice to use.

I have a few questions, if someone can help me out or point me to a post which gives the information. I have tried to search but couldnt find anything.

1. This device uses the TOM TOM software. Does anyone know which TOM TOM maps are compatible with it?

2. Once I have the compatible maps how do I install the Maps to the SD Card rather than the HD?

3. Once I have the maps installed how do I run them from the SD Card?

4. Can I use the Speed Cams and POIs with it?

5. How do I install those on the SD Card rather than HD.

6. Can I run the Maps, Speed Cams and POIs from the SD Card and if so how do I do that?

The User guide that came with th iPAQ dosnt give any of this information.

Many Thanks

Hi

1. This device uses the TOM TOM software. Does anyone know which TOM TOM maps are compatible with it?

Mine came with TOM TOM 5 all tomtom Pocket PC maps should work.

2. Once I have the compatible maps how do I install the Maps to the SD Card rather than the HD?

If you buy the map then copy the folder to the SD card it will be available in the change maps menu option, when you change map it should ask you for the key.

3. Once I have the maps installed how do I run them from the SD Card?

The tomtom software seems to recognise the existence of new maps on the SD card when you go to change maps it shows up in the list

4. Can I use the Speed Cams and POIs with it?
Yes the pocket GPS speed camera database works fine, download the OV2 type database and copy the files to the folder of the map you are using

5. How do I install those on the SD Card rather than HD.

6. Can I run the Maps, Speed Cams and POIs from the SD Card and if so how do I do that?

All the POIs Map information and Speed camera database sit in the same folder which is the map folder, just placing this folder on the SD card is all you need to do

Hope this helps

H.
