Network 3 and Tomtom Plus on a Sony Ericcson w850i

I have a Tomtom 910 , Im on the 3 network and im trying to get my Sony Ericsson W850i to work on the tomtom plus services..

Problem is it reaches 65% and then stops...

Ive contacted 3 and they say only a Nokia E61 is compatable..

Is this the case? why surely its just a string to address tomtom plus site.

So it means 3 is capable of being used for tomtom plus services but you need the right phone.....why/

If anyone has a Nokia E61 is it posible to copy the settings/ modify them so my W8501 will go onto the tomtom plus site...

Has anyone any info?

Just experienced the same problem with 3 and W850i. Its all down to three locking there data access. I understand only T-Mobile and Orange allow dat access to TMC (based on info from this site).
I even tried a different phone on Virgin and another phone on O2.
Looks like we need to buy a cheap phone on either of the above networks in order to use the services.
