I am having difficulty trying to get my w850i to access Plus data (TMC, Weather etc). My airtime provider is Three UK.
The bluetooth connection works ok but sometimes loses connection after 10 - 15 mins as well
Any ideas? Thanks |

Checked everything and even bought an internet access addon but, you access through three (its locked)so its a cheap mobile on Orange or T-Mobile so I can use.
Once again thanks |

I don't think 3 allow internet access outside their own "walled" area so I guess it won't work, a cheap PAYG card is the best option avoid O2 as that won't work T-Mob or Orange will be fine though - Mike |

Thanks for your help Mike, the problem is exactly what you say and I am currently sourcing e-bay for a cheap PAYG.
On another matter I noticed that in a different thread someone had mentioned that Tom Tom's traffic info was rubbish and that Pocket GPS offer this service, have I misread the article or is this correct.
Thanks |

PocketGPSWorld do not offer any form of Traffic service so I don't know whaere you read that, neat idea all the same. The site does offer Speed Cameras in way of a database though.
The TomTom traffic service data is provided by iTIS Holdings, the data is getting beter but I still don't trust it 100% and prefer to make my own decisions about re-routes to be honest.
Shame that 3 don't allow connection to the "real world" depending on your phone you might be able to use a twin SIM card holder and switch the SIM in use on the fly I have used these in the past with PDA based phones but I am not too sure if they would work with a "normal" phone - Mike |

Yes, Three need to enter the "real world". |
