Set Owner Information

Since all owner information (that is displayed when I turn my Go 510 on) can be changed with TomTom Home, is there any value in having it set?

I thought it may have queried my device id against my tomtom account, but I disabled the internet connection and was able to change it

It could be useful if you lose your TomTom, and some honest person finds it. They can then trace you and return your device.

However, I wouild suggest not putting your full address or home phone number in, just in case some dishonest person happens to pick it up. They can then work out that you're not there and come round to ransack your house.

I use postcode & mobile number.

Good point - Mine is just first name and mobile number.

It just seems odd that such information as recent destinations can be browsed without the need for a password, so I also don't have anything in my "home" location on my device
