Back in march of this year i bought a nuvi 360T complete with a GTM 12.
and try as i might a could get no traffic info whatsoever. so i rang garmin had a good chat and they said that the GTM10 was a better option !. so i got them to swap my GTM12 for one. it finally arrived this week (been waiting since 27th march) !. i fitted it yesterday and i get the blue traffic symbol within seconds of turning the unit on and on checking through the traffic messages there are lots all the time from all over england some yesterday were 252 miles away !.
now ive not used the traffic system before so some of you may be able to answer some simple questions i have.
when will the traffic system alert me of any problems on the road ahead
is it only when im driving towards the problem ie. general driection or does it only work when you are driving a planned route following directions ?
at the moment to see any traffic info i have to go off the map to the blue symbol to look at the info.
many thanks
paul. :D

Hi. It normally alerts you once you have set the route and are on it. I drove to London yesterday from Portsmouth and got the red triangle about ten miles from Hindhead telling me there was four miles of slow moving traffic at Hindhead. Further up the route, I was told the same way there was stationery traffic between Clapham and Putney.
At least it does work and that's with a 360T and the GTM 12.
