Hi,

I was wondering if some of you could help with some advice on a PDA and GPS combo.

After doing my research I'm looking at a "HP iPAQ 4150" as its quite cheap (£295 from totalpda)
and a Geko 201.

The pda will be good for work, I also have a wireless network at home.
I did do a lot of walking and want to get back into it so I think a geko would be cool to have.
I do a lot of driving so I need navigation aids to stop me getting lost Mr. Green

So my questions are:

1). where do I get a cable to link to two? ( Is there one? )
2). will linking the two work ok with software such as tomtom easily enough?
3). what do you think of the setup for what I need, any suggetions of any other setups? or any probs I might encounter.

One last one I promise Thumbs Up

Are there SD GPS cards? The Dell 3Xi I was looking at is not cf and nor is this new ipaq,
is this the shape of the future and will we expect sdio gps cards soon?

Many thanks in advance? Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

You really want to go with cables? Ever thought about the Fortuna GPSmart? http://pocketgpsworld.com/gpsmart.php

SDIO GPS is a nice idea but has one big issue - they currently don't come with on board memory. Makes them pretty useless for street navigation unless you'r e connected to an online map source (a la wayfinder)

Saw your post and thought "What a bargin", 'till I checked their site:

Excluding VAT
£15 Delivery

15 quid delivery!! Now that's taking the p*£$. Expansys works out cheaper.
