Hi, after reading all the advice I decided to buy my first gps. I looked hard and decided (due to snarling in my ear and stabbing pains in my back) to go for a budget model. A tomtom one regional. Pc world are offering this at £139.99 + £15 for a case. these must be ordered online but can be picked up in store. The order page chucks me out when I drop the case in the basket. Ok Ill order the tomtom & sort the other in the store. The price asked extra for the case was £25. when advertised as £15. the manager said its online nothing to do with me. When asked to explain the pricing he said, I dont care. its nothing to do with me. i went next door and bought from comet. £1000 worth of computer and gps. Wil not go there again........ Just got to learn how to use the begger now.

Hi, I bought a TomTom ONE just over a week ago, I'm chuffed to bits with mine, got mine from commets too. It may be at a budget price, but it works very well, and I don't think you need to pay more for a higher spec one, unless you want to put MP3's on it or hands free phone. I have put the software on a bigger SD card, and downloaded the speed zoned camera database, with voice warnings, suggest you have a read of the TomTom forum, all the info you need will be on there.
