A better buy than a tomtom ONE, you can watch films, play music and put on lots of other useful software. I think you should be able to use it as a handsfree for your mobile as well which you can't do with the TT ONE.

Do you have this? Can you tell me what version of TT map comes with it? I ask because I believe that some of the iPaq "communicator" devices had no maps but gave you the option of downloading a local "taster" map. _________________ Jock

The advert does say "with your maps installed" so I read that as the application is installed, but you have to add maps purchased separately - If I am wrong this must be the bargain of the year - Mike |

(Region UK/ Ireland, Region Netherlands/ Belgium/Luxemburg, Region France, Region Germany/Austria/Switzerland, Region Spain/Portugal, Region Italy, Region Norway/Finland/Denmark/Sweden) | I wondered if these were a one off special without maps.
Also, no Wi-Fi! _________________ Jock

Subject: Product Code 143354 (Thread:110110)
Hi
I'm interested in the HP iPAQ rx5720 Travel Companion
Product Code 143354
It says it has TTN6 pre installed but not which maps. Could you tell me
which maps comes with the package
Thanks
Regards
Graham
Their reply :-
Hi sir,
Many thanks for your enquiry,
The TomTom 6 is UK version and is only regional maps pre-installed
For further technical assistance please visit our technical support forum on
our website in the "Forum Community" ( the 5th tab along the top of the
page) and post your query there
Regards
Expansys
Might place an order for one for my partner. |

It's gone from the Expansys site. I reckon it must have been a mistake, I can't find it anywhere else even close to that price.
I hope those of you that ordered it in time manage to get it! |

I was thinking that it's too cheap and must be a mistake, but I ordered it anyway.
I think they may have removed the item not because of the price but because they are having problems getting the stock, and have too many customers waiting.
I placed an order with them on the 1st May, and noticed that the order tracking was stuck saying "Estimated 2 Days", so I sent them an e-mail. This is the reply:
Quote: |
unfortunately there has been a slight delay in sourcing this unit and at present we do not have a confirmed date from our supplier for when it shall be received. Our purchasing team are currently working on this and expect the goods to be with us shortly. As soon as they arrive your order will be dispatched for next day delivery and you will be alerted via email,"

I hope they put it back on the site once they've got stocks in then. I won't hang around next time - I'll put my order in straight away! |

[quote="portman"]Now with £30 cashback from Hewlett Packard.
http://h40059.www4.hp.com/morepc/Claims_form_may.pdf
I spoke to Expansys about this, and it's bad news, I'm afraid.
Reference section 3 on the claims form states:
"Purchases direct from HP distribution partners are ineligible"
I asked Expansys how they are classed as selling products from HP, and was told they are a Distribution Partner.
No £30 rebate I'm afraid |

Ebuyer.com have the HP Ipaq Rx5935 travel companion in stock
http://www.ebuyer.com/UK/product/118914
However at £297 (ex VAT) it's not exactly a steal, but if you think back in the day I paid £300 for my old Ipaq 3870, then another £50 for my SD Card and £150 for my TT3 and wired GPS it is still quite cheap.
STOP PRESS
Was looking on Amazon and they had a sponsored link to TotalPDA !! They are selling the HP Ipaq rx5720 for £175 (inc VAT) and you can save a tenner using google checkout !! Shame I don't really need one :-)
