Just upgraded to 3.4

Hi all.

I have just upgraded my unit to 3.4 and am going to test it will post back later to let you know what I think.

I stupidly didn't back up my 3.3 Firmware and the site that linked to all of the firmwares is not available any more. Can any one provided it so I can downgrade if I need to.

I can do 2.7 but nothing else. I used to achieve the Firmwares until i discovered the site. However i then purged all stuff "i'll never never to keep" - mainly because everything since 2.7 has been poor.....

The site has moved but i can't find the firmwares on the new site - http://gpsinformation.net/ is the new site...

I have all firmware from 2.70 - 3.20 if anyone wants it - drop me a PM. for some reason i forgot to download and save 3.30, anyone have that i can have.

3.4 seems to be changed very little

I have the 3.3 firmware should anyone need it. ( send me a pm as I don't have a hosting place..)

I also updated to 3.4 but don't know what's been fixed. There used to be a list of fixed errors supplied somewhere, but with 3.3 and 3.4 I can't find it any more.. ( or is it a case of If it works it's fine then...)

Forgive me if i'm missing something here (new to all this!), but on my 360T, under Settings-System-About the Software Version i have listed is 3.60, GTM is at 4.10 ad GPS is at 2.90. I cant see how these relate to the versions discussed in this thread.

Just done a few miles with the 3.40 firmware. Under Navigation its great. Return route under Mapping was a nightmare.

- White screen
- Left behind at one junction for about half a mile
- Totally missed me turning off a main road and onto a side road and carried on for a bit.
- All the time Speed and upcoming roads names are accurate. 4 or 5 bars whenever i checked.

Back to 2.70....

did a 20 mile round trip today in both nav and map modes and in both rural (not many streets to show on map) and town (lots of streets on map).

my opinion? different to paulb's!! both modes seemed spot on - nav mode has not really been an issue before anyway however, map mode usually lags behind a lot but today it kept up with me!

personally i'm happy with 3.40.

Hmm. Did we ever get to the bottom of whether the two types of units have difference experiences? I have the old type with a card in it.
