Hi people

Some very interesting articles on here. Only just got my TT, so also new to the forums.
Had no sleep for 48hrs....playing with new toy...
I have managed today to get a fix on the GPS signal, but it doesn't seem to hold it for very long. Is there a way that i can maintain a decent signal.

The other thing is. Can i stop the TT from switching itself off when i unplug the cig charger.

Finally, when i have a fix, sometimes my pda tries to connect to my ISP via my phone, if i click dismiss, like i did today when the phone was ringing, it cancelled the call.

First 2 questions, possibly have a sensible answer.. The last one is possibly me being stupid with the settings.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated..

Stevex

#1 - (assuming you got a TomTom BlueTooth receiver) - make sure it lies flat, has a good sky view and no coated glass above it.

#2 - in the TomTom GPS applet there's a switch that allows TomTom to keep the PDA alive when TomTom is running. go to Start...Settings...System...GPS...GPS and move the left slider from left to right (the one with the Zzzz)

#3 - uninstall GPS 2.09 and get an older version, for example 2.07

Hi

thanks for your reply. I spoke to TT today and they have told me the same as you, with exception to the changing of v2.09. They told me to make sure that i installed 2.09. I had 2.08 direct from the CD, but could not set to COM5.
I have now installed 2.09 and got COM5. I moved the receiver to a slightly different place on my dashboard today and i have managed to hold a signal....A good one some times...Laughing Out Loud

Thanks again.
