problems after Quickgpsfix update

pluged in my tt 1 turned on tt home it dowmloaded Quickgpsfix and installed then the satnav turned off and back on after which my pin had gone my favourites had gone i also had to set up speed cams all over again and it thought i was in lisbon what is going on ???????????? 8O 8O

Flippant answer - you made the mistake of launching Home.

Sounds like it deleted or corrupted a config file, probably MapSettings.cfg

I assume you always disconnect properly Using "My device" in Home or the Safely Remove Hardware icon in Windows system tray. (but from what you said, it didn't even let you get that far, before it re-booted itself!).

I use Home as little as possible, only if there is a Software update I really want (I've ignored the last two) and once to download a map.
