If it's a One V2. Otherwise buy a mains charger off ebay. |

What kind of car is it? Most should have a 12v power outlet even if they don't have actual cigarette lighters and the sockets are the same anyway.
You can charge your device at home with a mains charger or using a 240v Cigarette Lighter adapter unit. I doubt the ONE's battery would last long enough for a whole days usage though. _________________ Darren Griffin |

my brothers nissan micra doesn't have a 12v socket/lighter - apparently it was an optional extra that the previous owners figured they would do without. he hates it as his tomtom battery doesn't last too long these days - he's in the process of pestering the wife for a new satnav with a better lasting battery so i spoiled his fun and told him it'd be cheaper to get a 12v socket fitted in the car!
i know none of this helps the OP but it makes a nice story!

Maplins stock a suitable cable mounted ciggy lighter socket see Here - if you are in any doubt wiring this up leave it to an auto electrician, also bear in mind modern cars tend to be fitted with explosive airbag devices, so don't go messing around behind the dashboard if you are unsure - Mike |
