Need advice, GPS Logbook for O2 XDA Orbit?

Hi all,

I've got my new XDA Orbit (FANTASTIC) with Copilot Live 6 (dissappointing)
My old MedionPNA100 with MedionNavigator 4.3 (Navigon rebadged?) managed to find all my customers' addresses (some of the roads aren't even ON the copilot maps 8O ) and it had what I most needed, an automatically starting logbook which saved in an Excel SS.

I could use MN4.3 on the Orbit but:
a/ the maps are out of date
b/It's SLLLooooooowww to start up, about 1min 15s
c/It gets confused if the PDA powers off with MN still running and can't find the GPS receiver again until a soft boot (I have GPSDash running as well and it doesn't do this )

So, does anyone know of a package that will run on the Orbit, reasonably quickly, with an auto logging feature that allows user enty like MN4.3 i.e:
Comment [Visit to Customer maybe]
Mileage [xxxxxxxx]
Reason [Business/Private]

I understand that Navigon Mobile Navigator 6 (and possibly 5.x) have the logging feature, but I've read that they are also slow on all but the fastest machines.
