|
|
First post here as a newbie Nuvi 660 owner (as of Monday this week). Long time TomTom user (from first PDA release upto V6).
I like the Nuvi a lot but... I want to save the setup as I like it. By this I mean backlight level, touch screen beeps off etc. Everytime I power the thing back on it seems to reset to the defaults. Am I missing something really simple here? |

Its:
Unit S/w V3.20
GPS S/w V2.90
GTM S/w 3.90
As I said I've only had it a couple of days so it may be finger trouble. Does it have different settings for on external power and on internal power? This could be what is confusing me.
Another annoying thing is when navigating at night it insists on brightening the screen each time it announces something - very distracting.

Just an update...
Yes there seems to be different settings for External and Internal power.
I cured the annoying brightening by setting the brightness level to 0 - which is NOT off ( ) this gives a very good nightime light level and appears to work OK in daylight unless VERY bright sun. _________________ Phil |
