|
|
Hi folks,
Sorry if this has been covered already - I did a bit of a search and came up with nothing.
I've got the TT One (V2) - UK & Ireland version. I used it last Saturday with no problems, took it out of the car and tried to use it again on Monday, but when I turned it on, I got the dreaded ejecting SD card with the red cross.
I installed the firmware upgrade a few days previously, but as I say, it worked perfectly for a few days before giving up the ghost. I phoned TT support, and the guy there told me there is an update, but when I try and get updates with the TT Home software, it tells me there are no new updates.
Any clue as to what's going on? Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers.

Have you tried a Reset?
Which Software Version did you update to?
Have you got a Backup?
These answers and any other information will help to solve the problem. _________________ Richard

Thanks for the reply - I knew I'd miss some important information!
I have tried a reset, I updated to the latest version - not sure what that is though, and no, I never had a backup.. :-(
I can however, access all the data on the card when I connect my TT to my PC, and I can run the 'virtual' TT through the TT Home software, and access all my POIs, etc, so I'm not convinced it IS a problem with the card, although, I'm new to all this, so I'm probably wrong! |

Could it be as silly as the lock tab on the SD card perhaps? |

Sadly not. It was one of the first things I tried. The only time I've handled the card before now was to put it in to the TT when I first got it - it's the original card supplied with the unit. |

If you can still run the Virtual Device on the PC the Card must be OK.
Try taking the Card out, do a Reset (30secs). While you have the Card out, hold the ON button in. You should get a screen full of information. It will stay there while you hold the button in.;) For each entry on the left, there should be data on the right.
Take your finger off the button and it will show a graphic of putting the Card back in. See if that improves matters. _________________ Richard

Thanks for your replies, folks. It appears that the issue was that some of the essential files on the card which allow my TT to boot up were corrupt.
Another forum pointed to your website, oldboy. I downloaded the files, and hey presto, my TT booted up and I'm back in business!
Cheers.
