Screwed up my ne 510 - Help?

3 week old 501 and I dont know what I am doing. Enthusiasticaly downloaded (today) a later version operating system (I think). When it asked if I wanted to install, it followed by telling me not enough space on divice.
Frustrated or what.
Then I got clever.
I thought, obviously you need to delete the old one to make space for the new one. So I did. Looked alright to me, new one shown now in right hand box.
Followed instruction to disconnect and reconnect.
No go.
Now I am sitting looking at a back lit but totaly blank screen on my home dock and no ling to my pc.
Tried support, waiting for e-mail Rolling Eyes

Meanwhile still looking at lit blank screen.
(Tried the paperclip in the hole trick which was the only support advice given, but it did nothing.) Cannot even turn it off.
Any ideas?

Have you done a FULL BACKUP prior to the problem?

If yes, then restore the Device from the Backup.

If NO, then use the CD that came in the box to install the software again. This should get you up and running.

As with most software, it gets bigger everytime something is upgarded. Smile

If the 510 now works the best course of action is to delete some of the Instruction Voices. This is best done from within Change Preferences | Change Voice. That way you won't delete the wrong Files.

Just leave the one file that you normally use. Each one is about 1MB. Taking 2 out should be enough, but more will leave more free memory on the card, which is a good thing.;)
