Is there such a thing as a POI, or some otherway of identifying motorway junction numbers on TomTom? The reason I ask is that on a number of occasions while away on business in an unfamiliar part of the country I have been confronted with signs saying "motorway closed at Junction X" generally due to an accident. This is fine if you happen to know where junction X is and if it lies along the route you are taking, but as a stranger in town, the first knowledge you have is when you join the back of a 5 mile queue. Prior knowledge would allow you to get of the motorway in good time.

Thanks

The big problem with TTs handling of POIs is that it won't let you avoid a POI.Sad

The only way to do it (it's longwinded), is to enable the MWay POI so they show on the Navigation Map.

As you approach the Junction prior to the one you want to avoid, use the Avoid Roadblock menu and the 3 mile setting. There's no guarantee that the Roadblock won't cover more than one Junction and/or 3 miles.

Thanks for the advice Richard, I'm sure it wont be long before I find myself in this situation again and need to avoid a junction, so I will give it a try
