Hi all.

i have 2 bluetooth gps units
1. A Holux 236
2. A Holox BT-312 (BT74R)

I have both the tomtom3 driver and the MMsirf program for switching SN on/off

Both units work and are fully functional.

The Holux 236 works fine, ie i can turn the sn on and off and also WAAS

The Holox BT321 doesnt recognise any commands from either mmsirf or tomtom3 driver

Is anyone else having these issues, or can anyone help

Cheers

The Holux uses a SiRF-III chipset and will therefore respond to the SiRF calls the SN toggle software makes to turn this mode on or off. The Holox product uses an RFMD chipset, so I am not surprised it doesn't respond to calls for SiRF mode, the device won't understand the call being made, so it doesn't do anything - Mike

Thanks Mike for the reply. I didnt realise it had an rfmd chipset. Now i know that, i have done loads of googling for more info. Pity about the Sn, otherwise IMO it has been a great unit.
