910 camera beep

Hi all,

I have just bought a 910 after my 700 was stolen and thought I would give the TT camera function a go. It seems OK but the damn thing beeps all the time.

Is there a way to only have camera warnings beep when on route or to take off the beep all together?

If I don't see a camera on the road and don't see the warning on the tomtom and get caught then I should have been paying more attention, I don't need an annoying beep :D

Welcome to the forum, Please have a read through THIS which explains a few options for use with the cameras on the 910, also read the part about "Warn Only if POI On Route" as this will explain how to set the unit to warn ONLY if a route is set - Mike

Edit once - just read you are using the TomTom database, you cannot set warnings or configure them using this data, use the database from this site and it all works as per the guide

I was only giving the tomtom version a try. I will revert back to the pgpsw version as I did with my 700

I have just purchaced a TTG 910 and would rather use the PGPSW safety camera files than Tom Tom's, but to do this do I have have to some how delete the Tom Tom files, or do the PGPSW files just over write them.

No, you need to delete or disable the TT ones.
Can't remember the exact names, but even though they behave differently, they look just like normal POI files (with ov2 extensions), and are in the map folder like all the other POIs.
