hello everyone, i am newis here...
i tell everyone about me, i am deaf, might if you understand my poor english.
sound of warning...
that use for deaf people can use satnav speed camera.
that i have once pay tomtom site cost me £60 ayear.
i have 2 time speed camera oops but my tomtom didnt warn me
i have report to tomtom that scam, but no really its my fault or ear fault.
that i find out that tomtom been warn with sound tell me there carmera near... but how can i hear?
i been told tomtom about it and why idea add new flash that help me see.
they never reply.
so i though might anyone of you can make one (new) for the deaf people also hard of hearing.
if you do then you will be aware gold
flash no need big flash just pop up say speed 30 on top screen or choose where like popup on top or bottom or left or right. and flash or without flash. choose by option and how long stay on screen and nearby choose say 100 yard coming then flash when i knew it then click it that warn go off till next speed camera.
what you think? its good idea...

Welcome to the forum, If you were to use the Speed Camera database from this site you can configure your TomTom to flash up an icon depicting the type of camera AND speed (this information will appear in the top left of the screen) - to get the full information requires the use of the Speed Zoned download.
I would also expect that the two instances where you have seen a camera location that is not in the TomTom database, will in fact be found within the PocketGPSWorld offering - if not you have the advantage that by notifying the site the database is enhanced - new additions are added at least every month, more recently updates have been around every two weeks - Mike |

Have a look at the TomTom web site there is a page for checking your current map and its status with respect to upgrade available or not, you can find it Here
I would also have a read through This which will show you how to download, install and configure the PocketGPSWorld Speed Camera Database, it was written for a slightly different device, but is still 90% applicable (just ignore the part about Text To Speech) - Mike |

You have donloaded the POICapture software which is used to record the positions of cameras, this is not the Speed Camera database.
You can get to the camera database download by clicking Here Note you need to be a subscribed member of the site for access to this area, in my last post I linked to a guide that shows how to download/ install/ configure - if you follow that you should be OK - Mike |

If you are trying to get POICapture on your device first of all make sure it is the correct version for your unit, your download will contain two folders:
SdkRegistry
POICapture
Both these folders need to be placed into the root of the SD card, this is the highest level where all the other folders reside so once correctly installed your SD card structure will be thus:
great_britain_map
itn
licences
raster
schemes
script
tomtom-cfg
voices
zip
SdkRegistry
POICapture
Please note this is for capturing cameras, you can download and install the actual camera database as detailed in my previous posts - the camera database is seperate to the capture utility - Mike |

Your original post was to put the camera database on your machine, do you still want to do this?
The reason for asking is you now appear to want POICapture which is a different application - this doesn't provide camera warnings.
Download the camera database, install and configure it as per the guide I highlighted earlier, then we can deal with POICapture as a seperate issue - Mike |

Can you answer one question please:

The screen rotation problem is a known issue with the device you are using - as for speed cameras can you confirm you have them on the device? - and have you clicked and read through/ followed THIS Link - Mike |
