Having just purchased a genuine TomTom Navigator 6 pre loaded card, installed it successfully onto a Medion MD95025 (MDPNA100).
The problem I have is each time I start Nav 6 I have to go into Change Preferences and select a voice, I would have thought the selected voice from previously running would have stayed as a default.
The other problem I have is the Navigator 6 is on a pre loaded 512Mb, I want to paste this over onto a 1Gig card everything copy's over OK until I start TomTom, a message comes up with error " No Mapping".
Any ideas

The first problem - make sure the Card is not set to Read Only.
Second. In Windows Explorer you will need to have the Option Set to show Hidden Files. This is in Tools | Folder Option | View.
Copy will only copy Files that you highlight.;)
You also need to make sure that the Map Folder is in the Root of the SD Card. _________________ Richard

Richard, thank for your prompt response.
1. It appears that all the Great Britain folder with it's contents have been copied into the 1Gig storage card.
2. I have checked Windows Explorer and the option to check all hidden files is checked.
3. You say to make sure that the Map Folder is in the Root of the SD Card, can you point me into the right direction.
4. I was wondering maybe if I uninstall the Navigator 6 from my PDA then reinstall from the new 1Gig card would I have to go through all of the procedure by using i.e.: product and unlocking code as supplied previously.
Regards

To do the copying, did you use ActiveSync or a Card Reader? From memory a Card Reader works better.
The Root of an SD Card is the level at which you see a Drive letter. The highest level in the 'tree'. The Map Folder should NOT be within any other Folder.
The answer to your 4. I don't know as I don't have a PDA to play with. _________________ Richard

Hi Richard,
I was using active sync, I have just purchased a card reader from Aldi and all is resolved .
Didn't realise the speed at which the card reader works at apposed to that of active sync.
Thanks for your time.
