Hi
anyone who has bought sony NV 71t can you please answer this question. My route calculation takes awfully long time. few times the screen also freezes. Once it took 15 minutes to calculate 40 kms distance from my office to home. Sometimes it works pretty fine. however GPS fix and TMC reception is excellent. can anyone tell me if this is an inherent problem with sony 71t or only a hardware problem with my unit.

Nope - U70 calculates fast - never seen it take more than a minute for the most complex route, and usually less than 30 seconds.
Different beast though, vikash. |

Thanks Dippy. Last weekend I sent my gps to sony. Even the gesture command for home doesnt work. lets see what they say. probably its a problem specific to my unit and hopefully they will replace it. Since the unit doesnt come with backup CD, i could not try reloading the softwares and the map. is there anyway to create a back up in my computer whats there inside the unit.
regards

Can't you use Activesync on it then? Just drag the Sony folders to your PC, making sure any hidden ones are displayed first?
I don't know, I don't have a 71, but that's the first thing I'd try. |
