nuvi 310 - new problem - no matches found for anything

Don't know what on earth has happened to my nuvi but now when i search for an address the options have changed - now its asking me for county.

So when i select 'where to', then 'address' it says;

In what county is that address? with a button saying "Spell County".

When I click on that button, it immediately comes up with a message saying, "not matches found"

I can then click on back which then asks me to spell the county but as soon as I click any letter, it goes straight to the "not matches found".

Similarly if I click on lodging or fuel, they both result in the same message; "not matches found".

Have I broken it?

Is it actually asking for which County, or which Country...?

Have you made any changes to the unit recently? Firmware update, performed a backup, anything at all (even something that you don't think could have affected the unit)?

What happens if you go to Settings / Map / Map Info - what is ticked and not ticked on that page?

it was asking for county (not country) - very bizarre.

This happened a day after i upgraded the firmware. I had to roll back to a previous version to fix it. Highly annoying.

I'll try upgrading again some time when I have the patience and I'll check the map settings as you suggested.
