Just a quick one...when setting up the safety camera warnings...should the Mobile ones have a tick in the box 'Warn only if POI is on route?' I am thinking of mobile cameras on bridges over your route, which of course are not strictly on your route. Thanks. |

I've travelled the M40 today - with the warn only if on route ticked and it DID pick up the mobiles... _________________ XDA Orbit (the best so far)

If cameras are on bridges over your route then it is the road you are travelling on that they are watching. Just the same as cameras on a gantry across the road such as Specs cameras. So they are definitely on your route. _________________ Graham.

I think you'll find the position of these cameras are now actually shown on the road being checked rather than the overbridge, so that warn when when on route would work. There was a post somewhere but I can't spot it at the moment.
Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property

Are you saying Quote: | So they are definitely on your route. | or are you saying Quote: | So TT will definitely warn you that these on your route. | _________________ Jock

If a mobile camera is reported on a bridge and you are driving along that road over the bridge, you will get a warning if set to warn on route or warn when near.
Anyone travelling on the road under the bridge will not get a warning unless set to warn when near.
Because many people prefer warn on route, the position of the cameras were moved as if they were on the road below the bridge. This way both settings will give a warning. _________________ Formerly known as Lost_Property
