i3 PC LINK

I am having a slight problem with my i3, in that my PC will not recognise the unit any more. All was fine for the first year, no problems at all. Also as the unit is just over a year old, everytime it's turned on it says "The following map data is more than a year old and should be updated" i have checked Garmin website i believe i have the current map data,City Navigator Europe NT+v8 is there any way i can stop the unit asking for an update? Not a big problem, just annoying. Thanks.

Have a read through some posts the out of date mapping message has been discussed many times.

Plug your i3 into your pc (assuming your using XP) goto device manager, uninstall any listing of it, disconnect your i3, restart your pc, plug your i3 back in.
