beginer needing help for satnav110

hi was wondering if anyone can help me i just bought a satnav110 and have registerd it but i cant seem to get a signal when i turn it on what am i doing wrong

Are you indoors when you try to use it?

Or in a car with an Anthermic (Heat reflecting) Windscreen ??

if it's brand new then it may take a while for it to get it's first satellite fix - especially if it was made in taiwan as it will 'think' it's in taiwan and will be looking in the wrong position for the satellites. once it has a fix it should be a lot lot quicker each time it gets switched on.

you could try standing in an open area for 20 minutes or so so it has a clear view of the sky.
