Hi All, Hope that someone out there can help.

Ive compiled a lot of custom poi's and uploaded them to my N20 without any problems.
However I stupidly deleted the original files I painfully created off my pc thinking I had backed them up to a cdr ( I didnt !! )

Is there any way of copying the files back off the n20, and then editing them / update them before transfering them back to the n20.

The only feature I can see with the supplied software (SmartST 2006 SE) is "manage poi" the only option available is to delete them. I know where the files are stored on the n20 and they have the extension of xxxxx.bm & xxxxx.map

One other thing I have a problem with is the backup and restore built into the software, I can backup, and the files are saved to the pc, but when I hit the restore button, no files are showing available for restore, Is this a glitch in the software, has anyone else had this issue. Navman supp, cant offer any help !

Thanks for any help or advice in advance :-)

Hi.
I'm not sure if you would find it useful but you can certainly browse the files on an N20 by looking at the Navman files using My Computer as it shows up as a mobile/removable drive when attached with the USB lead. I suspect you could then copy the files and do what you like with them.
Good luck!

To get back the standard POI`s you need to remove the uk mapping on the system and re-install it.
The standard poi`s are linked to the mapping
