Can I use the maps from my Tom Tom One GB on my old Tom Tom

I own both a Tom Tom One which I bought last week and I own a Tom Tom Go Classic which ive had for a few years now.

Is it possible for me to update the maps on my Go Classic using the maps from my "one" ?

My Go Classic has

App 5.200 (5244050522)
Boot 2.18
Map: Great Britain Map v314

My One v2 has

App 6.501 (7460/060904)
Boot 4.81
Map: Great Britain and Republic of Ireland Map v660.1199

Any help greatly appreciated

Not legally - you can only install the maps on one device - if you move them to the old unit you must delete from the new one.

In any event also probably difficult practically as you will probably be asked for a new code that you will not be able to get.

OK, I would have thought that I bought it therefore I own my copy and can do what I like with it as far as how I use it is concerned, didnt consider it would be illegal :\

Never mind I just tried it and it doesnt fit on the original SD Card anyway its slightly too big

If you read the small print on the licence you will find you don't own the map!!

You actually bought a licence. One that lets you use your copy of the map on one machine. Wink
