Hi,
I am a TomTom 5 Navigator (PDA) user and was supprised to just see a mention of TomTom 6.
When I checked the TomTom site, sure enough it's on there - and when I come here, there is loads of talk about it, as if it's been out for ages.
How come I wasn't notified of this by TomTom, and how come I have not been offerered an upgrade like I was with TomTom 5 (I upgraded from v3).
Thanks

Because they are useless.

Because there is no upgrade programme at all. And not worth upgrading IMO. |

It would appear TomTom 6 has only just been made available on the TomTom website, many websites/e-stores haven't got stock.
I think it came out in September sometime - I got an e-newsletter from TomTom last night about TomTom 6 even though I have bought the DVD version (because I couldn't get a boxed version!).

It's fairly new. I could only find it on the Palm website. I think you UK folks can buy just the new software, but in the US the only thing they had available was the entire GPS kit including receiver, cables, holder, etc. It cost 299.00 US, so whatever that converts to in your currency. |
