trevor,
any PocketPC will do. If you want to go for a non-bluetooth system then you can still decide between CompactFlash and serial. For your car I would suggest you go with serial. This means you will buy the serial GPS receiver after you bought the PDA - the cable connector on the serial GPS is PDA specific. _________________ Lutz

None of the 19xx series iPAQ's have a serial port profile so your only options are CF GPS receivers or Bluetooth. TomTom list the Bluetooth option as the only GPS hardware they supply suitable for the 1940 in the list of compatible PPC's.
You could of course buy TomTom software only and get an alternative BT or CF GPS receiver from another manufacturer.
Hope that clarifies matters for you a little? _________________ Darren Griffin |

If you stick with Compaq/HP then pretty much any one except for the 19xx model series! The next one up the range is the h2210 followed by the 41xx models. _________________ Darren Griffin |

The 2210 is a great unit, we all use it and it's the best one I've ever had _________________ Darren Griffin |

Yes that's correct, the h2210 sync/serial port is on the bottom. I can thoroughly reccomend Brodits' 2210 mount. _________________ Darren Griffin |
