I have the UK DVD version of TomTom Navigator 6 with the Maps of Western Europe and this contains installs, via the TomTom Home application, for:
- TomTom Application for Palm
- TomTom Application for Pocket PC
- TomTom Application for S60
- TomTom application for Symbian UIQ 3rd Edition Mobiles
So I'd assume the DVD contains all you need.
Although I have a Nokia N80 Symbian phone, I'm using a Pocket PC device at present so can't confirm how well TTNAV6 works on a phone. |

You'll want any version that comes on DVD. When you get the European version, you get all the European voices, plus all the European languages to run TomTom on.
Assuming that you've got a Bluetooth GPS device and a big enough memory card the Amazon one should be ok. |

tks!
How big is the file? Do i need a 2 or a 4 GB-Memory Stick Pro Duo?
Could i install all the files on the Memory Stick Pro Duo?
Or must the program files been installed on the internal disc?
what do you think - will TomTom support me, if i got any problems, because it is not shown as a supported phone for TT?
Would be nice to hear some expierences from other users with TomTom Navigator 6 on P990i.
By the way, is it possible to give the software during 14 days back?
Tks for help!

A 1GB should be fine if you just want the German maps, but if you want the whole of Western Europe you'll need a 2GB.
Installation can and should go on the Memory Card.
TomTom wont provide any support whilst the handset isn't listed on the website.
And don't expect any money back after even one day, most sellers won't take it back unless it's still sealed in the box.
Once it arrives I'll let people know how it goes. |

I have TT6 UIQ3 (P990) I have copied all file to my memorystick & pop it into my phone. a box pops up saying "Install tomtom" but nothing happens?
Is there a specific file structure to insert all the files on my MS?
I have also tried installing directly from the DVD through the Sony phone software!

Stick your memory card into your PC, not your phone. Use the install CD to install the UIQ3 version. Once it's transfered, stick the memory card into the phone. You'll get a pop up asking to install TomTom 6.02 select yes and follow the on screen prompts. |

That is what I have done! I get the first Pop up, asking do I want to installl TomTom Navigator, I click "Install" but the Pop-up disapears & nothing else happens!
I have tried calling Tom Tom but not had any luck with their Tech Support! |

are you seeing install TomTom 6.02 or TomTom 6.01 as if it's 6.01 you've got the nokia version and not the SE one. |

then most likely this is going to be the reason why TomTom still don't support the software on UIQ3. |

What is the best thing to do? Will they take the software back as the seals are broken? |
