Hi everyone,
my first post! :D
Just got a Garmin 310D from Halfords (my first Sat Nav) and have been reading lots of posts here to try and get up to speed...
I checked the software versions before doing any updates and they were as follows:
SW - 2.40
AUDIO - 2.20
GTM SW VERSION - N/A
GPS SW VERSION - 2.70
BLUETOOTH SW VERSION - 2.21
I then manually downloaded the latest release from the Garmin site (v3.1) and ran that.
The software versions are now:
SW - 3.10
AUDIO - 2.20
GTM SW VERSION - N/A
GPS SW VERSION - 2.80
BLUETOOTH SW VERSION - 2.21
I then ran webupdater a few times and it just picked up new vehicles and a few languages, nothing else.
Checked the software versions again and they were unchanged.
So my question is - are these the correct versions?
I also got the 6017 charger in the pack, so have emailed Garmin requesting the 6025.
Cheers

Yes. You are up to date (Oct 06)
Are you having trouble with the power cable? |

well I'm guessing I am by the fact that I just can't get any TrafficMaster data coming through and I have a 6017 charger.
Had a very rapid email response from Garmin who have sent me a surpressor kit to try out.... will see if that helps.
Cheers

As you may have read already some cars have a special type of glass to block radio signals, called Athermic. This blocks TMC radio data.
Some note's for you to try,
You must use a power supply other than the internal battery to run TMC
The TMC only plugs into the side socket of the nuvi
Try indoors using a mains adaptor, using the rear socket
You may live in a poor TMC reception area.
Try a laptop as a source of power in the car to test TMC |
