Could any one please give me advise on the best and most suitable GPS system for my Ipaq 5450, i don't really have any preference but a jacket type would be favourite however as long as it will fully works and be relatively easy to use in my car I don’t really mind.
I appreciate that the Ipaq has a volume problem and was wondering if a Bluetooth headset like the jabra headset which is used mainly with mobile phones could be used as an alternative rather than those suggested in other forums.
Regards

Fletch,
what's the primary use of your GPS solution? in car or off road? driving or walking, so to speak...
My personal opinion is that for a car a serial GPS is still the best solution when combined with a good cradle (so you don't have to fiddle with the connectors each time). For outdoors BlueTooth is best. The BlueTooth receiver has it's own power supply and won't drain the iPAQ
Yes, you can use the headset, after you did some registry tweaking on the iPAQ to add the headset profile _________________ Lutz

Thanks for your reply, i want to use it only in my car as a buisness tool to get me to and from appointments, a post code system would be useful. the only units i have looked at are the copilot live and navman 3450 are either of these any good? and is the software that these units use any good? as i said earlier i don't really have any preferances i just want some thing that is straight forward to use and isn't going to take patch after patch to get it working, plug and play thats all i want.
kind regards,

Jacket solutions and In Car use do not go well together. Most of the time the location of your PDA does not give satisfactory sky view for the GPS antenna. The CoPilot jacket has a connector for an external antenna, but that connector is pretty fragile and not supposed to be used on a daily basis.
I'd go for a serial or BT GPS receiver that you can put at the front of the dashboard and that can be permanently wired with the ignition (or even directly to the battery) _________________ Lutz
