Can I setup maps, gps etc on a VAIO?

hi!

does anyone know of maps etc that would work with a notebook pc?

i got a tom tom setup on a Tungsten T3 and would like to do a setup on a small VAIO!

Yes. there are plenty of PC based solutions available. CoPilot or IntelliNav come to mind, but there are other, more specialised programs, too.

Be more specific in what you are looking for.

specifcally, I want road maps with POI's for UK and Japan.

Good quality ones, like the ones that I used with Sat Nav, when driving around Japan!
